This is a story in the Sunday Washington Post. The illegal immigrant who is deported returns
to his home in Mixtequita, a village in Oaxaca.
There are a couple of pictures that show the tropical forest. This is the area of Mexico we are reading
about in Jungle Laboratories. I think
the families in Mixtequita are similar to some of the families in Laveaga’s
book. This story helps me understand
Laveaga’s book a little better.
